Insurindex – the brand power index for the insurance market – has welcomed Michelle Worvell as its new Managing Director.
The new appointment is the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the rapidly expanding venture formed in 2020. Insurindex is the place where insurance businesses objectively showcase their brands, activities, and innovative thinking.
With more than 20 years of experience, in all levels of communication and marketing, Ms Worvell is keen to apply her vast knowledge and experience to InsurIndex. Commenting on her appointment, she said: “I am delighted to be returning to the insurance sector to head up this exciting venture. The business has had a remarkable start, thanks to the vision of both Julian Steedman and Ben Bolton, and I am keen to take it to the next level. I look forward to joining the leadership team and building on this great foundation and driving Insurindex’s significant growth potential.”
Michelle started in the insurance sector in 2001 when she worked on trade press magazine, Insurance Age, for more than eight years – with six as Editor – before working at the Chartered Insurance Institute as its Director of Communications. After four years as Director of Marketing and Communications at the United Grand Lodge of England, where she played a key role in changing its public perception, Michelle is delighted to be returning to the sector to run Insurindex.
Julian Steedman said: “The idea for Insurindex was formed in the pandemic, and launching the business, watching its early development, and showcasing the best insurance businesses has more than justified our belief that the industry needs a new type of data driven creative content channel. Demand was beginning to outstrip our resources and so it’s fantastic to welcome someone with Michelle’s knowledge, drive, and experience to lead the next phase of the business alongside myself and Ben.”
Ben Bolton added: “Launching Insurindex has been especially rewarding because so many clients quickly got the concept and were willing to partner with us to showcase their successes or achieve their mission. Michelle joins as we gain more and more Insurindex partners and her experience, skills and passion for the industry will mean we can help many more insurance businesses to promote their proven success and positively build out the Insurindex team and business overall.”
