With Gracechurch’s 2025 London’s Leading Brokers report set to launch in the coming days, anticipation is building around who will rise – and who may fall – in this year’s hotly watched rankings.
Last year, Marsh, Aon, and Howden took the top three spots, with standout individual performances recognised across a tightly contested field.
But 2025 promises fresh intrigue: while the ‘Big Five’ – Marsh, Aon, Howden, Gallagher, and WTW – remain dominant forces, new shifts in the rankings suggest changing dynamics and the emergence of fresh talent across the market.
Just ten broking houses were represented in the overall individual nominations last year, down from 16 in 2023.
But this year, talent is spread across a broad range of firms with individuals from 39 different broking houses nominated, making for a much broader and more dynamic field that reflects the growing depth and diversity of talent across the London Market.
Brokers are nominated by a representative cross-section of underwriting peers from across the main business classes. Brokers are then ranked according to the number and strength of endorsements within each business class, based on being regarded as market leaders.
