In it’s second year, the Gracechurch Underwriting Service Quality Marque is awarded to UK and London Market underwriting teams who meet our service quality standards and provide an excellent experience to their brokers and end-clients.

The SQM is based on the Net Promoter Score (NPS) achieved by each team over the previous year, combined with high scores on the customer-centric metrics of Collaboration and Customer focus. This means that brokers can confidently recommend these insurers to clients.

London Market Underwriting

Congratulations to the seven insurers who achieve the London Market Underwriting SQM in 2025. Our most recent LIM shows that underwriter service has improved overall in the London Market. 

For the second consecutive year, Arch is the only insurer to receive both the London and UK Service Quality Marque in underwriting. This recognition highlights its commitment to quality service across the business, with its team of leaders consistently praised by brokers.

An exceptional performance in 2024 has earned Ascot the Underwriting Service Quality Marque for the first time. Brokers recognise it as a leader in key service areas, including customer focus, collaboration, and broker relationships. Ascot is setting new standards for underwriting service in the London Market, becoming the benchmark against which all other carriers are now measured.

Canopius retains its Service Quality Marque in 2025, thanks to its high-quality approach to service, robust depth of expertise, and a winning combination of excellent technical underwriting knowledge and outstanding responsiveness.

Much like its claims service, Convex’s underwriting team is committed to delivering excellent service and fostering strong partnerships with brokers, setting it apart in the London Market. Congratulations to the entire team.
