In it’s third year, the Gracechurch Underwriting Service Quality Marque is awarded to UK and London Market underwriting teams who meet our service quality standards and provide an excellent experience to their brokers and end-clients.

The SQM is based on the Net Promoter Score (NPS) achieved by each team over the previous year, combined with high scores on the customer-centric metrics of Collaboration and Customer focus. This means that brokers can confidently recommend these insurers to clients.

London Market Underwriting

Congratulations to the seven insurers who achieve the London Market Underwriting SQM in 2026. Our most recent LIM shows that underwriter service has improved overall in the London Market. 

Ascot is awarded the London Underwriting Service Quality Marque for the second consecutive year. Brokers highlight the team’s responsiveness, clarity of risk appetite and breadth of offering, which clearly differentiate it within the Market.

AXA XL secures its first London Underwriting Service Quality Marque, alongside its 2026 award for claims service. The result reflects the team’s ability to combine underwriting quality with scale. Broker feedback highlights the added value delivered by underwriters and the strength of broker support.

Chaucer secures its first London Underwriting Service Quality Marque, recognising a knowledgeable and capable team. Brokers highlight the team’s professionalism, clarity of appetite and willingness to work collaboratively to find solutions.

Convex achieves its third consecutive London Underwriting Service Quality Marque. Brokers consistently praise the team’s expertise, responsiveness and collaborative approach to solving complex underwriting challenges.

IQUW secures the Service Quality Marque for the second consecutive year. Customer-centricity continues to be a defining feature of the team’s approach. Service levels strengthened further during 2025, with broker feedback highlighting responsiveness and a strong willingness to support brokers.

Liberty Specialty Markets has secured its first London Underwriting Service Quality Marque, alongside its continued strong performance in claims service. The award reflects consistently high levels of underwriting service delivered throughout the year, highlighting the team’s client focus, responsiveness, and underwriting capability.

One of only two teams to receive the Underwriting Service Quality Marque every year since its introduction in 2024. TMK continues to demonstrate strong support for the broker community. Brokers consistently highlight the team’s responsiveness during a period of rapidly changing Market dynamics.

Congratulations to the four insurers who have achieved the UK Market Underwriting SQM in 2026. We hope to see even more Insurers build on their performance and achieve the SQM in the next year.

Allianz Commercial secures the Service Quality Marque for the third consecutive year. The result reflects a continued commitment to delivering high standards of service to brokers. This performance sits alongside Allianz’s established reputation for quality in claims service.

Arch secures the UK Underwriting Service Quality Marque for the third consecutive year. The award reflects a sustained commitment to supporting brokers, with feedback highlighting helpful underwriters and a flexible approach to meeting client needs, even in challenging market conditions.

AXA achieves the Service Quality Marque for the second consecutive year for UK underwriting. The award reflects the team’s ability to deliver quality service at scale. Intact Insurance has secured its first Service Quality Marque for underwriting, shortly after completing its rebrand. The underwriting team has been recognised for its strong customer focus, supported by knowledgeable and responsive underwriters and a collaborative, flexible approach.
