We hosted our first-ever event as Insurindex

The views at the venue were impeccable, the conversations held were riveting, the drinks were well and truly flowing, the speeches were inspiring, and the winners of the awards, referenced in London’s Leading Underwriters report by our partners at Gracechurch, were revealed – all in all, our first-ever event was a huge success (even if we do say so ourselves)!

To provide some context on the report that the event was centred around; Gracechurch has released their London Leading Underwriters report annually for six years, with this year being no exception. Its reveal this year, however, was much more grandiose, at none other than the 40th floor of The Gherkin, in amongst a cohort of illustrious names and faces from the London insurance market. The report is a well-established ranking in the insurance community, and we had the pleasure of divulging the winners of each award listed in this year’s edition.

And how are the winners selected, we hear you ask?

Gracechurch discloses that “underwriters are nominated by both brokers and their underwriting peers from a cross-section of business classes across over 150 global, international and national businesses. Underwriters are ranked according to the number of mentions within a particular business class, based on the extent to which they are regarded as being market leaders.”

A virtual round of applause, and a massive congratulations to all of the winners – both individuals and companies alike. Each title assigned is completely befitting, and what’s more, it’s super promising to see such talent spread out across our sector. We’re not biased at all, but we reckon it’s a very exciting time to be a part of the insurance community, as many brands hone in on their presentation and development, flourishing consequently.

As intimated by our Chief Commercial Officer, Nick Grazier: “There is a real sense, as the market comes out of the hiatus of the past few years, that marketing and more specifically brand are being taken much more seriously. A good brand can transform a business, and I guess it’s no surprise that the winners represent brands that are being properly invested in”.
