Mosaic’s Syndicate 1609 at Lloyd’s is coupled with wholly-owned capital management agencies, diversifying risk coverage for clients across seven countries and seven product lines. Capital partners have the opportunity to tailor their engagement from whole-portfolio participation to specific products and target geographies.

Headquartered in Bermuda, with offices in London, New York, Chicago, Toronto, Frankfurt, Dubai and Singapore, Mosaic is one of the industry’s much publicized “Class of 2020–21,” born during the pandemic. As a fast-emerging syndicate-platformed business and agency, Mosaic has the advantage of ‘no legacy’ (neither in tech nor balance sheet) over other existing insurance markets.

Mosaic has adopted a striking approach to its brand identity, which gives a real sense of leading-edge and an attitude towards innovation and disruption: a true challenger brand.

Born in an era of cloud technology, Mosaic has adopted a data-first strategy, leveraging artificial intelligence and other agile software to support its underwriters and submission intake. Cutting-edge actuarial software is built into its platform to streamline processes, provide real-time analytics, and create a frictionless process.

Mosaic is starting to appear on Gracechurch trackers across underwriting and employer-brand studies. The firm is also performing well on the Insurindex social-media tracker, achieving engagement rates inside the top-20 London Market Specialty brand index.
